Counter-transference

"Can you teach me to read?" you ask
"Yes, but I cannot teach you to know and see," I respond

There is a difference, a chasm, in fact, between the three

"Will you give me a chance?" you ask
And I, watching a cloud pass by, say,
"A chance is not mine to give"
"But I need a chance, a second chance," you say

Hind-sight brings clear vision

"Are you listening to me?" you ask.
And I say, "I am listening, but also wondering
How it is that you cannot already read, know and see?
Where were you when your life was in progress?"

Strategically placed obstacles and no maneuverability

"I am here now," you reply.
"So," I say, "Come, I have words, perceptions, and lenses
For you; let us begin"

"Thank you," you say
"It is what I do, it is my life, it is my pleasure," I reply

Be very careful; knowledge and vision will change you, forever
