Vocal Dyslexia - - a poem

by Angel Ramos

Vocal dyslexia: the day Diallo shocked
his soul into a southerly low
front conversion

     Cuff: dry microburst
whispering slowmotion skull
     flabellates
maternity wear
of 10,000-
     gravida, slams
immured electroencephaly
t'storms, derechoes
breastfeeding
Jesus, words forced
from treetops, static
scratching gritty AM
     homilies.

After an XC
     day, 41 mushroom
   ghosts in reverse
  isolation insissipate, white-
   on-white waves of bandsaw
speech, dreaming the chenched
air preached to the convoluted.
